After Dokmoka, five lynched at Dhule in Maharashtra amid child-lifter rumours

Less than a month after the shocking lynching of Nilotpal Das and Abhijeet Nath at Panbari village under Dokmoka police station in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district, five persons were lynched in Maharashtra on Sunday as child-lifter rumours began to spread to other parts of the country.

Another murderous mob assaulted five persons amid rumours of them being child-lifters in Dhule district of Maharashtra after one of them was seen talking to a young boy. Police said the five persons along with a few others were seen getting down from a bus at Rainpada village.

The mob attacked the five persons until they died, eyewitnesses said. The slain persons have been identified as Bharat Shankar Bhosale, Dadarao Shankar Bhosale, Bharat Shankar Malwe, Agnu Ingole and Raju Bhosale.

Police, meanwhile, have picked-up 23 people for questioning in connection with the incident.
