GUWAHATI, March 7: Candidates clearing the Assam Direct Recruitment Exam ADRE written test, results of which were declared on Friday midnight, expressed their sincere gratitude to the BJP-led State Government in general and Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma in particular for conducting the recruitment process in a clean and transparent manner.
“The government had made very good arrangements and the entire process has been transparent. I hope similar arrangements will also be done for the skill test,” Sukanya Narah of Naharoni in Assam’s Golaghat district, a meritorious student who had aced the HSLC examinations securing letter marks in all six subjects but has been suffering from serious health issues since then, told News Live.

“I am very happy and I thank Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma for conducting a smooth, clean and transparent recruitment process. The scale of what has been achieved in Assam in terms of the government recruitment process undertaken by his government is monumental, unprecedented and never heard of in other States of the country,” Farnaz Akhtar of a remote minority-dominated hamlet in Nalbari district, said after clearing the written test in two categories.

Candidates passing the written test, meanwhile, will now have to appear in a skill test and those who clear the second round will be absorbed in jobs under the State Government.
WHAT IS ADRE WRITTEN TEST?
The ADRE examination for Grade 3 & Grade 4 posts under the Assam Government was conducted by the State-Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) in two phases.
While the first phase for ADRE Grade 3 was held for HSSLC (Class 12) posts on September 15, the second phase for Graduate and HSLC (driver) posts took place on September 29.
The ADRE Grade 4 recruitment exam for HSLC, HSLC+ITI, and Class 8 level posts was held on October 27.
The ADRE 2025 offers a total of 7,650 vacancies for Grade 3 positions and 5,023 vacancies for Grade 4 positions.
This recruitment drive, the government said, is aimed at filling various government positions across the State, providing ample opportunities for eligible individuals in Assam.
