Guwahati: Actor Sidharth Shukla was cremated this afternoon in Mumbai, a day after his sudden death shocked his fans and left the entertainment world shaken. His body was taken from the hospital in a flower-decked ambulance straight for the cremation home, where his relatives, friends and colleagues were present to pay their last respects.
A galaxy of TV stars, including his close friend Shehnaaz Gill and other Bigg Boss colleagues attended the funeral at the Oshiwara crematorium.
He was cremated on Friday afternoon in Mumbai, a day after his tragic and untimely demise that shocked his fans across the country and the entertainment world. His body was taken from the Cooper hospital in a flower-decked ambulance to the Oshiwara crematorium, where a large number of his relatives, friends and colleagues were present to pay their last respects to the departed soul. Sidharth’s mother Rita Shukla and rumoured girlfriend Shehnaaz Gill were inconsolable at his funeral.
Many celebrities including Asim Riaz, Aly Goni, Gurmeet Choudhary and Rashami Desai reached the crematorium to bid one final goodbye to the Balika Vadhu star. Others who were spotted by photographers at Sidharth’s funeral were Mahira Sharma, Shefali Jariwala, Arti Singh and Rahul Mahajan. Sidharth’s sisters and Shehnaaz’s brother Shehbaaz Gill were also seen.
On Thursday, Varun Dhawan, Gauahar Khan, Jasmin Bhasin, Rahul Vaidya, Disha Parmar and Maniesh Paul visited the late actor’s residence to offer their condolences to Sidharth’s family. Sidharth’s former Bigg Boss co-contestant Asim Riaz was also spotted at Cooper Hospital in Mumbai, where Sidharth was brought after his death. His rumoured girlfriend Shehnaaz Gill’s brother Shehbaz was also seen at the residence along with Jasmin Bhasin, Aly Goni and Rashami Desai.
