GUWAHATI, Jan 16: Actor Saif Ali Khan was operated upon at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after he was stabbed by an intruder during a robbery bid at the actor’s Bandra residence.
The actor was stabbed six times by the intruder and. Two of the six wounds are deep while one is near the spine, authorities from Lilavati Hospital reportedly stated.
The intruder, reports added, had barged into Saif Ali Khan’s house last night while he and his family members were asleep and initially had a confrontation with one of the maids.
After the actor heard the intruder confronting the maid, he challenged him and a fight broke out between them following which the intruder stabbed the actor and fled.
The incident took place around 2:30 am.
Officials from Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch arrived at the actor’s house and are investigating the matter.
