ABSU to fully participate in PM Modi programme on 7th February

GUWAHATI: The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) will fully participate in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme at Kokrajhar on 7 February.

On Saturday, at the welcome ceremony of NDFB cadres at Serfanguri designated camp ABSU president Pramod Boro along with former Rajya Sabha MP UG Brahma said that he will be present at the public gathering programme that will be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Recently, the historic Bodo Peace Accord was signed by the Central, State government and four groups of NDFB and ABSU.

Pramod Boro also added that different political parties have different opinions about the accord but the main focus will be on the implementation of the peace accord.

The ABSU President also said that everyone should work for the development that has been pending since a long time.

Pramod Bodo also appealed the people to maintain peace and also urged them not to call for any kind of bandh during PM Narendra Modi’s visit in Kokrajhar.

On the other hand, NDFB leader Gobinda Basumatary said that all the Bodo organizations and political parties are united on the accord implementation as it is a historic moment for the Bodo community.
