GUWAHATI: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will stay away from the campaigning for the next few days as she will self-isolate after her husband Robert Vadra has tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday.
Priyanka has asked the Assam Congress unit to cancel her scheduled programs today.
Priyanka in a video message posted on Twitter said that her Thursday’s report for Covid-19 is negative but on the advice of doctors, she will be under self-quarantine for the next few days.
“I have been exposed to the Coronavirus. Although I tested negative yesterday, Doctors have advised that I self isolate for a few days. Unfortunately, I have to cancel the program that was scheduled for the Assam election campaign today and Tamil Nadu tomorrow and Kerala the day after tomorrow. I apologize to everybody for not being able to be there,” said Priyanka Gandi Vadra in a Twitter post.
