GUWAHATI: Senior BJP leader and Assam multi-portfolio minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday campaigned for party candidate Manab Deka in the Lakhimpur constituency. In the meeting which witnessed attendance of tens of thousands, minister Sarma launched scathing attack on the Congress and Maulana Badruddin Ajmal’s AIUDF.
“You have to decide whom you will vote—Narendra Modi or Badruddin Ajmal?” The NEDA convenor asked.
“This election is not of Manab Deka or any Congress candidate. This election is between Badruddin Ajmal and Assamese. So, Assamese have to win in this election,” Dr. Sarma asserted.
Dr. Sarma said that Badruddin Ajmal cannot be allowed to enter Dispur, the capital of the state.
Lakhimpur is beaming with a rare vibrance, and it’s always a matter of great joy to come back here.
I extend my gratitude to everyone who made today’s public rally at #Lakhimpur a grand success.
Please support Sri @manabdeka in Lakhimpur’s journey towards progress!@BJP4Assam pic.twitter.com/y8IzSzVyXo
