GUWAHATI: Hailakandi’s Milan Das is the youngest candidate to get party nomination from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam. Milan is just 30-years old and earlier served as the president of the students union of Assam University.
He was nominated as BJP candidate along with Parmananda Rajbongshi from Sipajhar and Ramakrishna Ghosh from Hojai on Wednesday.
Speaking to News Live, Milan Das said, “I have very little time for submitting my nomination. I had a feeling that I might be BJP’s candidate from Hailakandi. As there is very little time left, I am busy with the documentation work to submit my nomination.”
“There are a lot of issues in our area, which are basic needs including roads, water, electricity, etc. So, I will focus on these issues and carry on my work for the development of the area,” he added.
