GUWAHATI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday started its campaign for Assam assembly elections with a mega bike rally of Assam finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in Dhemaji. Dr. Sarma took part in the rally from Jonai to Silapathar covering a distance of over 65 KMs.
This was the first rally of the minister after the declaration of candidates on Friday.
The rally witnessed participation of around 30 thousand BJP workers.
