GUWAHATI: North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convenor and Assam cabinet minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said that the alliance between Congress and All India Democratic Front (AIUDF) is inevitable. Sarma claimed that two parties forged the alliance secretly for the last Lok Sabha elections.
“The alliance between Congress and AIUDF is certain. They will forge alliance either openly or secretly,” said Sarma at Golakganj in western Assam’s Dhurbi district.
Minister Sarma on Thursday attended the Kendriya Swahid Divas (Central Martyr Day) of All Koch Rajbongshi Students’ Union (AKRSU) at Golakganj.
We have fulfilled our promise to set up Kamatapur Autonomous Council. Like the Bodoland Territorial Council, our government has taken responsibilities for the progress of Kamatapur Autonomous Council,” said Dr. Sarma.
