GUWAHATI: People in hundreds including film stars, singers, cultural activists, academics and Xatradhikars under the Xocheton Nagarik Mancha protested in Guwahati on Sunday demanding the immediate release of Journalist and Editor-in-chief of Republic TV Arnab Goswami. The symbolic protest is against the Indian National Congress(INC) in Maharashtra.
Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted regarding the protest. The Minister Tweeted, “#AssamWithArnab Hundreds of people led by filmstars, singers, cultural activists, acamedics and xatradhikars under Xocheton Nagarik Mancha joined a march to Rajiv Bhawan in Guwahati as symbolic protest against Indian National Congress in #Maharashtra. They demand immediate release of #ArnabGoswami.”
