GUWAHATI: The Assam government will construct 119 Model High Schools in different tea gardens of the state. The construction work for the Model High Schools will begin from November 1 this year.
To discuss the implementation of the ambitious project for the educational development of the tea gardens, education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday chaired a meeting with the public works department (PWD) officials in Guwahati.
The project will cost an estimated amount of Rs. 142.5 crore.
“The construction work, with an estimated cost of Rs 142.5 cr, will begin from Nov 1, 2020,” the minister said in a tweet.
