GUWAHATI: Kumud Goswami, one of the accused in Assam Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment scam collected more than Rs. 1.5 crore from candidates with the promise to give them jobs. Goswami was assisted by another accused Kuldip Rajbongshi. Both of them have been arrested.
Goswami, an agriculture department employee was a part of the entire nexus. He was allegedly involvement in the Pancharayt and Rural Develeopemnt Department (PNRD) recruitment scam.
Crime Branch and Criminal Investigation Department (CID) sleuths have been interrogating Goswami in Guwahati.
Earlier based on the confession of Kuldip Rajbongshi, Nalbari Police arrested four candidates who appeared in the illegal exam at ‘Thank You’ lodge in Guwahati.
