GUWAHATI: Bimalananda Das, husband of renowned Assamese actress Chetana Das passed away in Guwahati on Thursday.
The renowned Assamese actress Chetana Das along with her husband Bimalananda Das had tested positive for COVID-19. They were admitted to the GNRC hospital on August 27.
According to preliminary reports, both husband and wife were in a “stable” condition.
But later on, Mr. Das’s oxygen saturation came down to 52 percent and thus was immediately shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Mr. Das was also given plasma therapy but finally succumbed to the disease.
Das was a former Officer in the Department of Geological Survey.
