GUWAHATI: Popular singer Zubeen Garg will work as a brand ambassador of Assam’s agriculture sector to attract the young generation to take up agriculture as a profession.
Garg along with his wife Garima Saikia Garg visited Assam’s agriculture minister Atul Bora on Saturday. Minister Bora offered a proposal to the popular singer to work as the brand ambassador of the agriculture sector of the state.
“After discussing with the chief minister, we have offered a proposal to Zubeeen Garg to become the brand ambassador of the agriculture sector. Persons like Zubeen Garg can motivate the young generation,” said Atul Bora.
Zubeen also discussed with the minister a project prepared by him, his wife Garima Saikia Garg and his friends, which aims to strengthen the agriculture sector of Assam.
“He (Bora) has responded us positively. Because, it is not possible to work alone. We have planned something big,” Garg said.
Earlier, the popular singer also visited chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal to discuss the project.
