Dhubri: Assam Police has arrested four cattle smugglers in western Assam’s Dhubri district bordering Bangladesh in last 48 hours.
The cattle smugglers were arrested from Gauripur Police Station area.
They have been identified as Mofizur Rahman, Asif Iqbal Hussain, Nasiruddin Bepari and Liaqat Hussain.
Earlier on Thursday, two other cattle smugglers were arrested in two separate operations from Gauripur and Golakganj under Dhubri district. Police also recovered 29 cattle heads and one vehicle from the smugglers.
Meanwhile, Dhubri Police requested the public to report information related to cattle smuggling in the district.
