GUWAHATI: The body of Manaranjan Mahato, the driver of the car which fell into the river at Sisiborgaon in Assam’s Dhemaji district was found on Saturday morning. A local farmer informed the team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) after he had noticed the body in the river.
Earlier on Friday, the bodies of car-owner Tankeswar kalita and one of his daughters were recovered by the team of NDRF and SDRF. The wife and another daughter of late Tankeswar Kalita are undergoing treatment at Dibrugarh.
The tragic incident took place on Thursday when the car the family was travelling in hit a railing of a bridge and fell into the river at Geluwa.
