Guwahati: Sushant Singh Rajput’s cousin Niraj Kumar Bablu said that they feel that the late actor was under some pressure from Bollywood; he was reacting to the statement by film producer Sandip Ssingh. Sandip has claimed that Sushant had good relations with producers Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, and said that he wasn’t under any kind of pressure on the actor and he was also not a target of nepotism.

“We are still completing the religious formalities of Sushant. As far as the case is concerned there are big personalities in the industry who have spoken about the behaviour of Bollywood with Sushant. So we definitely feel that there was some pressure on him from Bollywood otherwise these big Bollywood celebrities wouldn’t have supported Sushant, so this should be investigated,” Sushant’s brother Niraj told ANI.

On May 14, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment. Police say the actor died by suicide. “We are in a wait and watch position on the results of the investigation,” his brother added.

Police sources also say that statements of some of his close friends have revealed that Sushant in the past few months was stressed and felt that someone on purpose was trying to malign his image. He would share that some people were targeting him to destroy his career.

Police till date have recorded statements of 27 people, which includes his close friends, family and those associated with him in professional capacity.

The reports published regarding him in newspapers and websites would disturb him and he felt that every report and story criticising him was against him. These things had a very serious effect on his mental status.

On Saturday, statement of Yash Raj Films’s (YRF) casting director Shanoo Sharma was recorded.

Shanoo Sharma dealt with casting of films being offered to actors who had signed contracts with YRF and Sushant was one of the actors with whom she dealt regarding films being produced by YRF. Police sources said that Paani, was one of the films that Sushant had signed. It was being directed by Shekhar Kapur. The film did not take off due to some dispute related to creative content, according to police sources.
