Embattled Spanish giants Real Madrid are back to winning ways under new boss Santiago Solari after they defeated Valencia 2-0 in the La Liga on Saturday to move to fifth place in the La Liga standings. The much-needed win over Valencia gave the side some more confidence, particularly after their victory over Italian side Roma in midweek.

Real took the lead following an own-goal from Valencia’s Daniel Wass before Lucas Vazquez chipped with a late strike to wrap up their sixth win in seven games under the new coach.
“We did not play well against Eibar but we were good in Rome, and we were really good today,” AFP quoted Solari as saying.

Incidentally, Solari’s first game in charge as Real boss ended in a bitter defeat at the hands of Eibar as Madrid were thrashed 3-0 compunding woes for the Spanish giants.
