GUWAHATI: A sub-inspector (SI) of Bharalumukh Police Station in Guwahati has tested COVID-19 positive. The police officer named Nehru Patgiri has been detected with COVID-19.
Earlier police personnel from Panbazaar Police Station had tested positive for COVID-19. Another constable from 8th APBN based at Abhayapuri in Bongaigaon district was also found COVID-19 positive. He was posted in Guwahati for COVID-19 duty.
On the other hand, several police personnel including top officials have been kept under quarantine with the detection of positive cases in the department.
