Amid report of death, pro-talk ULFA leader Anup Chetia said that he spoke to ULFA(I) leader Paresh Baruah a few days back. Chetia informed that Baruah met with an accident and sustained injuries.

“As far as I know, he sustained injuries on his ribs and right-leg toe,” Chetia said, while speaking to News Live. “I spoke to him few days back. It is true that he met with an accident. However, he is now recovering well,” added Chetia.
Chetia also informed that the accident took place at Ruili area in the China-Myanmar border. Anup Chetia said that he last spoke to Paresh Baruah after the blast at Fancy Bazar in Guwahati.
