GUWAHATI: Twenty five COVID-19 patients have been discharged from hospitals in Assam after their recovery. They have been discharged after being tested negative twice. Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted that 22 patients are from Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in Guwahati, 2 from Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) and one is from Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH).

With the discharge of these 25 patients, the number of recovered people in the State has increased to 87. While Assam has reported total 774 COVID-19 positive cases, there are 680 active cases at present. The State has so far reported 4 COVID-19 deaths.
