GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday visited Morigaon Civil Hospital to review the preparedness for COVID-19 situation. Dr. Sarma stated that a 23-bed COVID-19 unit has been kept ready at the hospital for any kind of eventuality due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Sarma also said that the hospital of Hindustan Paper Corporation at Jagiroad would also be transformed as a COVID-19 hospital.He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements in Morigaon district to deal with COVID-19 pandemic.
During his visit Dr. Sarma was accompanied by minister of state for health and family welfare Pijush Hazarika and MLA Ramakanta Deori.
