GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter to announce 17 more new COVID-19 positive cases in the State. Among the new 17 cases, 4 patients are from Chirang, 4 from Tinsukia and 1 from Goalapara. On the other hand, 3 persons from Cachar, 3 from Hailakandi and 2 from Tripura tested positive at Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH).
Assam on Saturday recorded total 87 COVID-19 positive cases which is the highest-single-day spike. At present the total number of cases stands at 346 with 282 active cases.
