GUWAHATI: Dr. Deepa Deka, a student of Regional Dental College, Guwahati who was infected with COVID-19 in the line of duty has been discharged from hospital on Saturday. Dr. Deka has been discharged from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) after testing negative twice, tweeted health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Dr. Sarma stated that another woman patient has also been discharged. Earlier, Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) discharged a COVID-19 patient.

The total number of recovered people in the State now stands at 57. Assam has so far reported 329 cases. Currently there are 265 active cases in the State.
