GUWAHATI: In the biggest one-time spike, 26 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in Sarusajai quarantine centre in Guwahati. Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter to announce the new cases.
With these, the total number of cases in Assam has reached 256. Currently, there are 195 active cases in the State. While 54 people have recovered from COVID-19, the State has reported 4 deaths so far. On the other hand, 3 patuents have migrated to other states.
Assam on Friday reported a total of 46 COVID-19 positive cases which is the biggest-ever one-day spike. The surge of cases is likely to continue as the more number of people have been returning to the State.
