GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter to announce eight more COVID-19 cases in the state. The new cases have been reported from four different districts of the state. While, three patients are from Kokrajhar, two from Sivasagar, two from Dhubri and one is from Dibrugarh district. This is the first case in Dibrugarh.
At present the total number of cases in Assam stands at 199. With the recovery of 54 patients, there are 138 active cases in the state. Three have migrated and four deaths have been reported.
