GUWAHATI: Three more persons from Sarusajai quarantine centre in Guwahati have tested COVID-19 positive. With this the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Assam has reached 157. On Tuesday, 42 positive cases have been reported in the state which is the largest single-day spike.
Taking to Twitter Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert – Three new #COVID + cases detected from Sarusajai Quarantine Centre. Now the total patient count goes to 157.”
He has also requested everyone to main social distancing, wear masks and wash hands frequently.
