GUWAHATI: Guwahati reported two more COVID-19 positive cases on Sunday night. The two new cases are from Kalapahar quarantine centre and Fatasil Ambari area of the city. Amid incessant rain in the midnight, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the places to ensure smooth evacuation of the two patients.
The patients have been shifted to Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in Guwahati.
So far Assam has reported 95 COVID-19 positive cases. There are 50 active cases in the state. While 41 patients have been discharged from different hospitals, 2 migrated to other states. On the other hand, 2 persons in Assam died of COVID-19.
