GUWAHATI: A young boy from Sivasagar district of upper Assam tested COVID-19 positive on Sunday. Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma stated in a Tweet that the boy was at Jorhat quarantine centre. With this the total number of positive cases in Assam has reached 95.
Earlier, in the night two more persons from Guwahati tested COVID-19 positive. On the other hand, a person from Sonitpur district also tested positive in the same night.
Currently there are 50 active cases in the state. While 41 patients have been discharged from different hospitals, 2 migrated to other states. On the other hand, 2 persons in Assam died of COVID-19 so far.
