The BJP will continue its alliance with AGP and the BPF in next year’s general elections, with the three parties all set to contest the polls together. The decision to contest the polls together was taken at the BJP’s two-day executive that began in Majuli yesterday (Oct 10).
The decision was announced by Assam Finance Minister, Health and PWD Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma after the first day’s meeting yesterday (Wednesday).

The executive committee of Assam BJP that includes Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, his ministerial colleagues and four central leaders are formulating the party’s election strategy for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
The executive also took several other issues for discussion.
