GUWAHATI: Another person from Goalpara has tested positive for COVID-19. The person who tested positive is under containment zone. He is the 43rd patient to test positive for COVID-19 in Assam. With this the number of active cases has reached 10 in the state while 32 have already been discharged with one death from southern Assam’s Hailakandi district, informed Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The last case reported from Goalpara was on 28th April. The person was a secondary contact of Nizamuddin Markaz attendee.
The district has been categorised as orange zone.
Alert ~ One person from Goalpara has tested positive for #COVID19. Since the person is under containment zone, there is no need to fear.
