GUWAHATI: Contributions for Assam Arogya Nidhi in the view of COVID19 pandemic are pouring in and heading towards hit the 100 crore mark. Till Saturday, the total amount of donations to the fund has reached Rs. 99.22 crore. So far 45829 people have donated a total amount of Rs. 99,22,51,930.00.
“Gratitude Assam for this amazingly generous outpouring of your affection. By today, our Assam Arogya Nidhi fund has reached Rs 99.22 cr. So far 45829 people have contributed. All donations are eligible for 100% deductions under 80G,” tweeted Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday.
People from different walks of life including—kids, students, business persons and other professionals have contributed generously to the fund to deal with the crisis.
