GUWAHATI: The Hotel Sukhmani at Paltan Bazar in Guwahati where Tripura’s first COVID19 patient stayed was sealed off on Wednesday. Kamrup (metro) district administration sealed off the hotel.
According to the reports, Geeta Rani Karmakar, Tripura’s first COVID19 patient stayed at the hotel from March 16 and 18. All the employees of the hotel have been quarantined.
The 44-year old woman came to Guwahati from Agartala on March 15. She visited Kamakhya Devalaya on that day and spent the night at the residence of a Panda. The six-member family has also been quarantined by the health department.
The woman, who is from Udaipur town in Gomati district, about 60 km from Agartala, is currently undergoing treatment at the Agartala Government Medical College and GB Pant Hospital. She tested COVID19 positive on Monday.
