GUWAHATI: One more person has been detected with COVID19 positive in Assam. The person from southern Assam’s Hailakandi district has a travel history to Saudi Arabia. This has been announced by Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. Incidentally, it’s the first COVID19 positive case in Assam with a travel history outside India.
With this the total number of COVID19 cases in Assam has reached 28. Notably 3 among them are from Barak Valley—one each from Karimganj, Cachar and Hailakandi.
Alert ~ A person from Hailakandi district, with a travel history to Saudi Arabia, has ben confirmed as #COVID19 positive. The total number of #Covid patients in #Assam now stands at 28.
