GUWAHATI: Despite Coronavirus scare, Holi is being celebrated across Assam with much fanfare.
Holi or Doul Utsav is being celebrated with religious fervor at Barpeta. People in large number have gathered at Barpeta Satra to witness the traditional celebration of Holi.
Doul Utsav with wide range of programmes has also been organized at Batadrava, North Guwahati, Raghunath Bigrah Mandir at Srijangram in Bongaigaon.
Though Coronavirus scare has hit Guwahati, a large number of people have come out to the street to celebrate Holi. Like previous years, Rain Dance has been organized at Fancy Bazaar area of the city.
Meanwhile, Guwahati Traffic Police carried out drives at various parts of the city to check traffic violations.
