GUWAHATI: Former IPS officer Pallab Bhattacharyya has taken oath as the new chairman of Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) today at Raj Bhavan.
Assam governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi administered the oath of office to the former top cop. Bhattacharyya recently retired as the additional director general of Assam Police.
He is also a member of the high-level committee on the Clause 6 of the Assam Accord.

Former IAS officer Sanjib Kumar Gohain Baruah and educationist Dr. Niranjan Kalita also took oath as the new members of the commission.
