GUWAHATI/KOKRAJHAR: Rashmi Borgoyari, the wife of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) deputy chief Kampa Borgoyari has expired on Tuesday.
On 8th February she was admitted to the ICU in Nemcare Hospitals, Guwahati where she breathed her last on Tuesday morning.
The news of her death has brought a spell of sadness over Kokrajhar. She was 47 years old and got married to Kampa Borgoyary in 2001. Rashmi was a cancer fighter for a long time now.
Her body was taken to their residence in Kokrajhar where people from all walks of life came to pay their tributes. Also, all heads of administration and top govt. officials of BTC paid respects to the late Rashmi Borgayari. Her last rites were performed at Kampa Borgoyari’s ancestral village Runikhata Basbari in Chirang that was attended by thousands of people.
