GUWAHATI/GOLAGHAT: “Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) is a deep-rooted party. It was formed after a long movement with the demands of the people. It was not formed out of any 15-day movement,” said Assam minister and AGP president Atul Bora today at Golaghat.
Expressing his views on proposed new political party of some Anti-CAA organisations, Bora said, “So many new political parties were formed at different points of time but they did not last longer.”
“AGP has stood strong despite various storms over it. Strengthening AGP is strengthening regionalism and the State of Assam. I believe Asom Gana Parishad will be enlivened,” the AGP leader claimed.
He also said that in last three years the process of development in Assam accelerated under AGP-BJP government.
