Thai cave rescue operation ends

PUBLISHED:

All 12 boys along with their football coach have been successfully rescued from the cave where they were trapped for two weeks. The Thai navy Seal unit coordinating the rescue operations carried out by British divers said in its Facebook page that the rescue operations have successfully ended.

While eight boys were rescued in the first two days beginning Sunday, the remaining four young footballers and their coach were rescued from the cave today (July 10).

The 12 footballers of “Wild Boars” soccer team and their coach were trapped while exploring the cave in northern Thailand on June 23. The youngest among the trapped footballers were aged 11 and 14 years.

The rescued boys are currently under observation of doctors and said to be in good health. Incidentally, a former Thai navy diver had died on Friday while on a re-supply mission inside the cave.
