Pankaj Pathak took to Facebook and streamed a video live on the social networking site, dismissing allegations that he and his associates had assaulted a person first
Self-professed alternative medicine practitioner Pankaj Pathak, who was made to kneel down, hold his ears and seek forgiveness after he and a few of his associates allegedly physically assaulted a retired teacher and misbehaved with another woman — allegations Pathak says are not true — has claimed that the attack on him was pre-planned, and that he sought forgiveness not for any mistake he or his associates did but to save their lives from the crowd.
The self-professed alternative medicine practitioner, who has been holding a series of medical camps for bald men, had organized a camp at Goalpara yesterday (July 2) where Pankaj Pathak and his associates were forced by a group of people to kneel down, hold their ears and apologise for allegedly physically assaulting the retired teacher and misbehaving with the woman.
Pathak, however, dismissed the allegations, claiming that the entire incident was pre-planned and that they did not take law into their hands but were attacked by members of the group who demanded that the medicine they were applying on scalps of the bald men be provided to them in bottles.
“The attack on us was pre-planned. The allegation that I and my associates physically assaulted someone is completely false. Our camp at Goalpara had already ended when a few people came approaching us and demanded that the concoction that we apply on the scalp of bald men by provided to them in a bottle. But when my associates said the medicine cannot be distributed but it is applied under our supervision, they started misbehaving and threatening us. Incidentally, none of them suffered from any hair loss issue. They then slapped one of my boys. When I tried to intervene and record the their vandalism on my mobile phone, they also hit me on my back and started pushing and shoving me. They also hit my associates following which we were forced to take shelter inside a room,” Pathak said in a video he streamed live on Facebook last night.
He broke into tears during his live broadcast and said allegations of him and his associates attacking the local people were not true and that he sought forgiveness only to save the lives of his associates.
The self-professed alternative medicine practitioner, however, clarified that he holds no grudge or ill feelings against the people of Goalpara and that the issue was against a particular group and not against the people of Goalpara whom he always reveres and respects.
