Uttarakhand: 2 dead after bus falls into Alaknanda river ~ At least two persons have been reported dead while 10 others are missing after an 18-seater Traveler bus veered off the road and fell into the Alaknanda river in Uttarakhand on Thursday.
Around seven people have been injured in the accident.
The vehicle was carrying 19 people, reportedly pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh, and veered off the road near Ghalthir and plunged into a deep ditch before falling in the Alaknanda.
Rescue teams, including SDRF and local authorities, have launched massive efforts at the site to rescue the missing and assist the injured.
