RCB victory celebrations turn sour; over 10 dead in stampede outside M Chinnaswamy Stadium: More than 10 people have reportedly died while over 50 people were injured in a stampede near the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru during the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) victory celebrations.
A large crowd had gathered outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium where the IPL-winning team was to have been felicitated by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).
The stampede took at Gate No.3 of the stadium where the IPL-winning team was expected to turn up for the victory celebrations.
Seven of the deceased were taken to Bowring Hospital in Shivajinagar while three others have been shifted to Vaidehi Hospital (previously Mallya Hospital), The Hindu reported quoting sources.
