Belagavi police are on the lookout of a sixth accused in connection with the gangrape of a 15-year-old girl
Five arrested for gangrape of minor in Karnataka’s Belagavi: Five persons, two of them minors, have been arrested in connection with the gangrape of a minor at Belagavi in Karnataka, reports said on Sunday.
The five accused, along with another person who is presently absconding, had sexually assaulted the 15-year-old victim at a stone crusher near Belagavi in December.
They allegedly filmed the act on their mobile phones and blackmailed her, threatening to make the videos public, as they raped her again in January, the News Minute reported.
Belagavi Police Commissioner Borase Bhushan Gulabrao said a POCSO case had been filed at APMC police station against the six people after the victim’s parents approached the police two days ago.
Police are now on the lookout for the sixth accused while necessary legal action has been initiated against the five arrested persons, including the two minors.
