While Gaurav Gogoi was named the new president of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, Jakir Hussain Sikdar, Roslina Tirkey and Pradip Sarkar were named working presidents of APCC
Jorhat Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi has been appointed president of Assam Pradesh Congress Party (APCC), a release issued by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) stated.
He will replace Bhupen Kumar Borah who has been made chairperson of the APCC Campaign Committee.
On the other hand, Jakir Hussain Sikdar, Roslina Tirkey and Pradip Sarkar have been made working presidents of APCC.
Likewise, Leader of the Opposition Debabrata Saikia has been made chairperson of the Coordination Committee, Nagaon MP Pradyut Bordoloi named chairperson of the Manifesto Committee and Dhubri MP Rakibul Hussain has been made chairman of the Publicity Committee of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee.
