Binita delivered another highly-acclaimed performance in the semi-finals which won her the public vote and she secured a spot in the live grand finale of BGT 2025, scheduled for Saturday, May 31, at 7 PM.

Who is Binita Chetry?

Binita Chetry is a 9-year-old dancer from Karbi Anglong, Assam, and made history by becoming the first contestant from Assam and the entire Northeast region to reach the finals of Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) in its 2025 season.

Her journey on BGT began with a captivating audition where she performed a dynamic dance routine to Tommee Profitt & FJØRA’s cover of “Eye of the Tiger.” Her performance, which incorporated martial arts-inspired moves, impressed the judges.

Bruno Tonioli remarked, “You have the strength of a tiger and the positions of a boa constrictor like a python on the stage,” while Alesha Dixon added, “I’m literally lost for words [as] you were doing moves that I’ve never seen before.”

Despite the praise, Binita did not receive a Golden Buzzer during her audition, leading to some public outcry. Fans expressed their disappointment on social media, feeling that her performance deserved the special recognition.

However, in the semi-finals, the sensational young dancer delivered another powerful performance, which won her the public vote and secured her a spot in the live grand finale of BGT 2025.

The final is scheduled to take place on Saturday (May 31) at 7 PM.
