Mukul’s close friend and TV actress Deepshikha Nagpal was also shocked by his passing. She shared an emotional post with his photo and said she still couldn’t believe he was gone. She added that Mukul never discussed his health issues and was active on their WhatsApp friend group till recently.

Mukul Dev was born on 30 November 1974 in New Delhi. He studied at St. Columba’s School and later trained to be a pilot. But his heart was always in acting. He started his career with the TV serial Mumkin, and made his Bollywood debut in 1996 with Dastak.
He was the younger brother of actor Rahul Dev. Mukul acted in more than 50 films across languages including Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali and Malayalam. Though he often played supporting roles, his performances always stood out.
