Rohit Basfore, a 25-year-old actor and fitness trainer from Guwahati, was cast in the upcoming popular web series The Family Man 3, starring Manoj Bajpayee.
The death of Family Man 3 actor Rohit Basfore, who was found dead on Sunday (April 27) near the Garbhanga Waterfalls on the outskirts of Guwahati where he had reportedly gone for a picnic with his friends, took a fresh twist with his family members on Tuesday (April 29) alleging that he was murdered by his companions with whom he had gone for the picnic.
The 25-year-old actor and fitness trainer from Guwahati, Assam, who was cast in the upcoming third season of the popular web series The Family Man, starring Manoj Bajpayee was found dead on Sunday near the Garbhanga waterfalls.
Although initial investigation by Police suggested that he drowned while enjoying the picnic with his friends — one of them said to be a gymnastic trainer whom his mother addressed as “Amardeep Sir” — his family members told News Live that they believe that Rohit Basfore was murdered.
“He had left his grandmother’s house at Bamunimaidam at around 12:30 in the afternoon on Sunday. At around 5pm, a person named Dharam Basfore telephoned Rohit’s cousin Shivam that Rohit was drowned in the river,” his mother told News Live, alleging that Rohit was murdered by his companions.
“After we were informed about the incident, we left for the place where my son had died. We went from one place to another for some three hours before we could see his body. Incidentally, when we dialed his number, a girl picked up the phone. We don’t know who she is. Everything must be investigated,” she further stated.

Rohit’s untimely death has shocked the regional entertainment community. Manoj Bajpayee, his co-star in The Family Man 3, expressed his condolences on social media, mourning the loss of his colleague.
