The raids of the CM Special Vigilance Cell were carried out in Guwahati and Mangaldai simultaneously
GUWAHATI, April 4: Sleuths of the CM Special Vigilance Cell Friday (April 4) conducted a raid at the Guwahati residence of ACS officer brothers Tanvir Yusuf Ahmed and Masum Yusuf Ahmed.
Raids were carried out at the residence of the two ACS officer brothers located at Jyoti Prasad Agarwalla By-lane 2 in Bhetapara Chariali, Guwahati.
The raids, which began at around 6am, were conducted after cases were registered by the Chief Minister’s Special Vigilance Cell (Case No. 8/2025 and Case No. 9/2025) against the ACS brothers.
Incidentally, Masum Yusuf Ahmed who, during his tenure as circle officer of Bajali Revenue Circle, had also engaged himself in private employment following which he was placed under suspension by the Government on February 25, 2025.
On the other hand, Tanvir Yusuf Ahmed, officiating as circle officer of Dalgaon revenue circle, is alleged to be involved in land-related anomalies, News Live has learnt.
Meanwhile, separate teams of the CM’s Special Vigilance Cell also conducted separate raids in the residences of two other ACS officers — Ritimoni Das and Pankaj Kumar Deka.
Raids were conducted at the rented accommodation of Ritimoni Das, circle officer of Sipajhar revenue circle, in Mangaldai.
Pankaj Kumar Deka, it is alleged, was involved in malpractice and anomalies relating to fraudulently registering land allocated to Darrang’s Narikali Temple in the name of others.
