GUWAHATI, Feb 24: A private university in Karachi city of Pakistan has been criticised for reportedly issuing a show-cause notice to Hindu students for celebrating Holi inside the campus, reports said.
A former parliamentarian named Lal Malhi posted on social media the notice issued to the Hindu students by Dawood University of Engineering and Technology for celebrating Holi in the university campus.
The incident has led to a massive controversy, with reports also saying that FIRs have been lodged against some Hindu students, accusing them of chanting anti-state slogans on university grounds.
The institute, however, dismissed reports that FIRs have been registered against students and said it was an old case.
